Mermaid Diagrams Pro ("the App") is a Confluence Cloud app published on the Atlassian Marketplace.

The short version: the App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform ("Runs on Atlassian"). We do not operate any servers, and your data never leaves Atlassian's infrastructure. We cannot see your diagrams, your pages, or your users.

What data the App processes

Diagram source code you write in the App's editor is stored as macro configuration inside your own Confluence pages, on Atlassian's infrastructure. It is processed in your browser to render the diagram. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
The migration tool, when you explicitly run it, reads pages and attachments in your Confluence site (using Atlassian's APIs, under your site's permissions) to locate legacy diagrams and convert them. This processing happens between your browser and Atlassian's APIs only.

What data we collect

None. The App has no external servers, no analytics beacons, no tracking, and no data egress. This is enforced technically by the Forge platform's egress controls and verified by Atlassian's "Runs on Atlassian" program.

Data retention & deletion

Diagram source lives inside your Confluence pages and follows your site's own retention rules. Uninstalling the App does not delete your diagram source — it remains in your pages and macro history, under your control.

Third parties

The App bundles the open-source mermaid.js rendering library, which runs locally in the viewer's browser. No third-party services receive your data.

Your Atlassian data rights

Data processed by the App resides in your Atlassian organization and is governed by Atlassian's Privacy Policy and your agreements with Atlassian, including data residency settings where applicable.
